You know when to get involved and when to delegate; when to speak up and when to listen.

Primary Responsibilities

Establish the vision and strategy for GlobalSpec’s software and web application architecture, reliability, and security practices. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in developing and maintaining GlobalSpec’s web properties, supporting tools, and back office systems. Develop an annual Technology plan and budget which aligns with company goals and objectives. Promote Agile at scale. Make investment and prioritization recommendations to improve operational efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and to ensure reliability. Deliver customer and business value by partnering and collaborating with leaders to shape the technology strategy and roadmap.

Oversee the relationships with IT resources and other adjacent teams. Directly manage the development teams, providing individual goals and career development opportunities that align with company objectives. Provide consistent and ongoing coaching and feedback and foster a culture of accountability.
